고체역학 (Beer) — Stress and Strain—Axial Loading: Problem 2.110
2.110 Solve Prob. 2.109, assuming that the cables are replaced by rods of the same cross-sectional area and material. Further assume that the rods are braced so that they can carry compressive forces. (From Prob. 2.109): Each cable [now rod] has a cross-sectional area of \(100\text{ mm}^2\) and is made of an elastoplastic material for which \(\sigma_Y = 345\text{ MPa}\) and \(E = 200\text{ GPa}\). A force \(Q\) is applied at \(C\) to the rigid bar \(ABC\) and is gradually increased from \(0\) to \(50\text{ kN}\) and then reduced to zero. Knowing that the [rods] were initially taut, determine (a) the maximum stress that occurs in [rod] \(BD\), (b) the maximum deflection of point \(C\), (c) the final displacement of point \(C\).
