8.4-1 A wood beam with a cross section 100 mm x 150 mm is simply supported at A and B. The beam has a length of 2.7 m and is subjected to point load P = 22.25 kN at mid-span. Calculate the state of stress at point C located 100 mm below the top of the beam and 1.35 m to the right of support A. Neglect the weight of the beam.
