For the arrangement of Fig. 25-17 (referring to the setup in Problem 7: plate area \(A = 0.080 \text{ m}^2\), separation \(d = 1.2 \text{ cm}\), slab thickness \(b = 4.0 \text{ mm}\), and \(\kappa = 4.8\)), suppose that the battery remains connected while the dielectric slab is being introduced. Calculate (a) the capacitance, (b) the charge on the capacitor plates, (c) the electric field in the gap, and (d) the electric field in the slab, after the slab is in place.
